The African-American Family Reunion Committee and the Greater Vallejo Recreation District presents the 31st Annual Vallejo Juneteenth Celebration on June 15.

Juneteenth is a national observance marking the emancipation of the last African American slaves in the United States. It also celebrates positive contributions of African Americans nationally and locally, promotes cultural connections, and creates an opportunity to build strong communities through access to health services and educational resources.

Juneteenth will be held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, directly behind JFK Library, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. full with live entertainment, food vendors, children’s activities, informational booths, and much more.
