(People) – Pat Houston flew her ailing niece Bobbi Kristina to Chicago to have her evaluated by experts before she was moved to hospice care, PEOPLE confirms.

The 22-year-old was hospitalized in January after being found unconscious and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta townhouse. Still unresponsive after months in the hospital, Bobbi Kristina was transferred to an Atlanta-area rehab facility in March and ultimately moved to hospice care last week.

Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Pat flew her to Chicago to be seen by doctors in a last effort to help her. The move was also to help her father Bobby Brown understand that every effort has been made to treat his daughter, a source tells PEOPLE.

Relatives gathered at Bobbi Kristina’s bedside over the weekend as her condition continued to deteriorate.
