A member of the “Divine Nine,” Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was founded on Jan. 13, 1913, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. The three-day event was organized by Californians for Safety and Justice, a project of the Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice network.
