Richmond: Clean Slate Day at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church

Residents wanting to learn how they can reduce a felony conviction to a misdemeanor or have their misdemeanor and felony convictions expunged are invited to attend the Contra Costa Clean Slate Day 2017 on Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 684 Juliga Woods St. in Richmond.
Though members of the public wanting a judge to hear their case on April 8 needed to apply with the Public Defender’s Office by March 20, the event will still offer important resources for those getting started in their quest to expunge prior criminal records or to find out how to move forward with unpaid traffic tickets.
People are asked to bring a government issued photo ID in order to qualify for a free RAP Sheet.
For questions, contact the Clean Slate Hotline at the Public Defender’s office at (925) 335-8075 or cleanslate@pd.cccounty.us, or the Reentry Success Center at 912 MacDonald Avenue, or call at (510) 679-2122.
This event is coordinated by Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, the Contra Costa Superior Court, the Contra Costa Public Defenders Office, the Office of Reentry and Justice, Rubicon Programs, Bay Area Legal Aid, the Reentry Success Center, the Safe Return Project, Men & Women of Purpose and the African American Health Conductors.
