Races Begin for Soon-to-Be Vacant Assembly Seat

Candidates are already lining up to run for the 18th Assembly District seat, which Rob Bonta may soon vacate if the assembly member, who was recently appointed state Attorney General by Gov, Newsom, is confirmed by the Legislature.
Bonta’s wife, Alameda Unified Board of Education President Mia Bonta, has already announced she is running for the position.
