OCCUR and the San Francisco Foundation FAITHS program, A Model Built on Faith (AMBOF) presents the sixth in its 2017 capacity building training series for faith-based and other nonprofit leaders, The Executive Director Boot Camp on Thursday July 13.
“Being an executive director is one of the most impactful yet challenging jobs you can have. But the ED that does it right can transform lives and build a community,” says Carmen Bogan, director of A Model Built on Faith.
This free, interactive training is designed to help build the capacity of new and seasoned executive directors to hone their management skills, to meet organization goals and maintain the passion and compassion that fuels the organization.
Instructor Gina M. Fromer, MS, will guide participants through the process of identifying and achieving the skills and resources needed to move forward in the organization’s mission.
Participants will have the opportunity to work interactively with peers in “solution circles” to discuss challenges faced by most executive directors and paths to excellence based on proven approaches.
Fromer has served at the helm of a number of community-based and faith based organizations on the local regional and State levels.
Currently, she is regional vice president for the YMCA of the East Bay, West Contra County. She is the recipient of the prestigious Jefferson Award for Community Service, KQED Local Heroes Award and a host of other awards and honors.
