Tune in Friday, August 28, 2026 @ 7 pm EST/4 pm PST/6 pm CST for the next “He Said, He Said, He Said Live!” A Look at the World from A Seasoned Black Man’s Perspective…because one perspective isn’t enough!” for the Manage Your Health Series: “From Survival to Strength: The Next Chapter in Living with HIV” Featuring Special Guest Dr. Theo Hodge, Medical Director, Washington Health Institute

This Friday, August 28, He Said, He Said, He Said LIVE presents a powerful and deeply meaningful pre-finale episode of our Manage Your Health Series: 🎙 “From Survival to Strength: The Next Chapter in Living with HIV.” We are honored to welcome Dr. Theo Hodge, Medical Director of the Washington Health Institute, for a conversation that goes far beyond the headlines.

For so many Black men and women who lived through the darkest years of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, survival was never guaranteed. We witnessed loss. We witnessed stigma. We witnessed fear. But we also witnessed extraordinary courage, medical breakthroughs, resilience, advocacy, and survival.

Now, decades later, a new question emerges: How do we move from simply surviving… to truly thriving? With today’s changing healthcare landscape and recent federal funding cuts creating uncertainty, what does the future of HIV care look like? What should people living with HIV know? How can we continue to advocate for ourselves, protect our health, embrace hope, and live fully?

Dr. Hodge brings extensive experience in infectious diseases, HIV prevention, sexual health, and patient-centered care—and a powerful belief that patients should be informed, engaged, and active participants in their own healthcare.

And on this special evening, we will also pause to remember, reflect upon, and honor the life and legacy of Bishop Yayo K. Rainey Cheeks, D.D., of Inner Light Ministries. Bishop Yayo K. Rainey Cheeks was a pioneer in the fight to eradicate the HIV and AIDS crisis in the African American community, helping to bring awareness, advocacy, compassion, and a powerful voice to a community facing devastating loss and stigma. His legacy reminds us that the fight was never simply about a disease. It was about people. Dignity. Community. Advocacy. Love. And the right to live.

❤ From Survival to Strength. ✨ From Strength to Hope. 🌟 From Hope to the Next Chapter.

Join Alvin King and Bobby Edwards, and special guest Dr. Theo Hodge for a conversation that promises to inform, inspire, and remind us that our story is not over. Come for the conversation. Stay for the inspiration. Leave empowered.

Before stepping into a dealership, secure bank pre-approval for your financing rate. Then, get the out-the-door price in writing. Never discuss monthly payments until that number is fixed. Test road noise and rear visibility yourself. Decline add-ons with a simple ‘Not today’. Check backseat space with your tallest household member.
