Tidal & Sprint Celebrate Sprint’s True Mobile 5G Launch In Chicago With Vic Mensa Pop-Up Show

CHICAGO CRUSADER —  Global streaming and entertainment platform TIDAL and Sprint (NYSE: S) announced an exciting way to help music fans mark the launch of Sprint’s True Mobile 5G network in areas of Chicago. The companies hosted an intimate concert featuring rapper Vic Mensa last weekend at the Chop Shop. Some fans were able to win an exclusive post-show artist meet-and-greet.

Select Fans Won Exclusive Meet-And-Greet With Vic Mensa

Global streaming and entertainment platform TIDAL and Sprint (NYSE: S) announced an exciting way to help music fans mark the launch of Sprint’s True Mobile 5G network in areas of Chicago. The companies hosted an intimate concert featuring rapper Vic Mensa last weekend at the Chop Shop. Some fans were able to win an exclusive post-show artist meet-and-greet.

The Chicago native’s special pop-up show celebrated the launch of Sprint’s new blazing-fast 5G service and brought to life the unique benefits TIDAL offers its members. Vic Mensa’s performance came shortly after the release of his latest single “3 Years Sober” off his forthcoming album, 93PUNX.

To attend the event, Sprint customers with TIDAL and other existing TIDAL members had to RSVP beforehand. Fans who attended the Sprint store meet-and-greet had the chance to win a “VIP experience” to Mensa’s show by having or upgrading to the Unlimited Premium plan. The in-store experience also featured TIDAL listening stations with a playlist curated by Mensa and an afternoon of hits spun by DJ LMS.

TIDAL and Sprint will continue to celebrate the 5G network launch with additional events to be announced in other cities, as 5G service continues to launch in select additional markets in the coming weeks.

True Mobile 5G from Sprint is now available from the historic IL-64 in the north to the Stevenson Expressway in the south, and as far west as California Avenue to the periphery of Lake Michigan in the east. Sprint 5G covers popular destinations such as Magnificent Mile, River North, Millennium Park, River Front, the Loop and Grant Park, as well as the neighborhoods of Gold Coast, Old Town, West Loop, Ukrainian Village, Medical Village, University of Illinois at Chicago, South Loop and more. TIDAL and Sprint previously brought Chicagoans in-store ticket giveaways to some of the hottest tours and meet-and-greets with artists like Twista, Prince Royce and Pitbull, and held special events like a free Lil Wayne concert, and a JAY-Z album release party at a local Sprint store.TIDAL has a game-changing partnership with Sprint that provides retail customers with access to the streaming service’s exclusive content. The East Oakland Stadium Alliance (EOSA) is seeking an Oakland-based grassroots organizer for a short-term engagement to help grow and mobilize our coalition! Comprised of local businesses, workers, labor organizations, and community members, we are deeply concerned about the Oakland A’s proposal to leave the Coliseum site in East Oakland and build a new stadium at the port. An ideal candidate has on-the-ground campaign field experience, a strong awareness of Oakland and Alameda County political figures, and deep ties to East and West Oakland communities. Being a local resident of Oakland is a plus.

Employment with EOSA is a part-time role and will last for a minimum of four months with an opportunity to extend longer. Transportation and cell phone use would be reimbursed and candidates of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
