Each New Year’s, millions of us make decisions about how to have a better year. First, we may ask ourselves, “Will I use my time much more wisely this year?” We may also ask, “Will there be an improved me?”
The focus of this column is to address the use of time and improving in 2015, issues I’m currently addressing in my life. My pledge is to use my time wiser this year. In fact, some simple changes are already in motion.
The first adjustment will require tracking ideas God gives me. For example, my goal is to make notes as revealed by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of writing my upcoming book, titled “Pappy.” It is the story of my grandfather’s purchase of 226 acres near Kinston, North Carolina, in 1945 and how his case involving the land purchased went to the U.S. Supreme Court at the end of World War II. The court sided with my grandfather and he kept the land, still part of my family today. This goal will require daily writing, even if only for an hour.
Finally, new syndication goals are set for my radio show, “Think on These Things.” The wheels are in motion to add my show to a Baltimore radio station. Thanks to my sponsors and the listeners, we’re on the rise!
Procrastination can interfere with your efforts to use your time wisely and to be a better you in 2015. You’ve heard my goals. Set some for yourself. Then never stop utilizing your God-given mission to succeed; and help others when you do!
