Juneteenth Festival in Marin City, June 19

The Sixth Annual Marin City Juneteenth Community Festival 2022 will be held on Sunday, June 19, at the Rocky Graham Park, 800 Drake Ave. in Marin City, from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Admission to the festival is free.

There will be two themes at the festival. The stage theme will be “Moving Toward the Future” (Where do we go from here? Are we free? What does freedom mean?). The market theme will be on “Global Connections.”

The festival will feature traditional African drumming, horse rides (free for children), free child care with art and play area, African marketplace, Youth Entrepreneur Zone, and a Health and Wellness Zone.

Live entertainment will contain Gospel (First Missionary Baptist Church Choir), R&B, Jazz, Arts is Health Band, Afro World, James Henry and Hands on Fire, Hip Hop, Neo-Soul, Dance, Theatrical Presentation, and local talent gems.

A $150 VIP Pass will include a meal voucher, padded seating area in Amphitheater, waited food service, and valet parking.
