Application Deadline Nears for Homeowners to Sell/Lease Property to City to Address Homelessness

District 3 City Councilwoman Carroll Fife’s office recently learned that the City Homekey project is accepting applications by homeowners who are interested in selling or leasing their properties to the city so these properties can be used to provide housing to the unhoused.

The deadline for applications is fast approaching and will be open until Sept. 1, 2021.

The application for homeowners who are interested in selling or leasing can be found here or https://us.openforms.com/Form/bfb9be26-29ef-4f81-a075-f3c3e4d45335
There is also an opportunity to be a sponsor to this project, Fife’s office said. A sponsor can be a developer, property manager, and/or service provider who can oversee the development and implementation of these sites.
