Seven Richmond Students Receive Robinson-Weeks-Robinson Scholarships
Board members of the Robinson-Weeks-Robinson Scholarship Foundation awarded scholarships to seven high school seniors at a scholarship awards luncheon held June 24 at La Strada’s Italian Cuisine Restaurant in San Pablo. Winning students live in the West Contra Costa Unified School District, have earned 2.5 GPA and are pursuing careers in medicine, health sciences or a related paraprofessional occupation.
The scholarships were named in memory of three pioneering African American physicians in the Richmond community, Dr. Paul T. Robinson, Dr. Samuel Weeks and Dr. Julius C. Robinson.
