Saturday Sept. D7 Community Clean-Up.

In-person registration will begin at 8:30am at Castlemont High School, 8601 MacArthur Blvd, with a clean-up starting promptly at 9:00am. Volunteers will be divided into the teams and focus on five areas that will address that include the following locations:

Councilmember Treva Reid is hosting a District 7 community clean-up drive Saturday, September 18. The drive, which is also being co-sponsored by the AASEG (African American Sports and Entertainment Group), will help beautify the parks and schools in her east Oakland area district.  Volunteers are asked to register in advance at tinyurl.com/OAKD7-CLEANUP. English and Spanish translations are also available. This citizen-led volunteer clean-up drive was inspired by the leadership of Councilmember Noel Gallo who has been sponsoring volunteer clean-up drives in District 5 for many years.

Castlemont High School, Lionel Wilson Academy, Encompass Academy,Acorn Woodland Elementary, Reach Academy, Kidango Cox-Academy

Parks: Verdese Carter Park, Tyrone Carney Park , 88th Mini Park

Libraries: 81st Library, Elmhurst Branch
