You can make your own ice cream in zip lock plastic bag. Because your hands are close just use kitchen mittens or towels.
I recently used this recipe at the DeFremery Park summer camp, and it was a lot of fun
Ingredients:
1 gallon-sized zip lock freezer bag.
1 pint-sized zip lock sandwich bag
1 cup of whole milk o r 1 cup of half and half
1-1/2 tablespoons of sugar. If you like the ice cream sweeter, you can add 2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ice cubes to fill half-gallon size of bag
1 teaspoon of strawberry syrup or 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup are optional
Directions:
Fill the big bag half full with ice cubes
Add 4 tablespoon rock salt or 6 tablespoon table salt to the bag.
Shake and mix well
In the small bag, put 1 cup of milk or cream (milk can be used for iced milk).
Add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Now make sure the milk bag is tightly closed. Shake well so the sugar milk and vanilla are thoroughly mixed. Put this bag into big gallon-sized bag with ice cubes. Hold the bag with a towel or kitchen mittens and shake for 5 to 7 minutes.
Your ice cream is ready
You may choose different flavors or food coloring to make the dessert more interesting
