The Black-Eyed Pea Festival is a celebration of African American traditional music, food and art that emphasizes the creativity of Black people in the United States.
Now in its sixth year, the festival originators in partnerships with the Post News Group will introduce you to an artist each week until the festival takes place on Sept. 14.
The vendors are artists, designers, jewelers, producers of skin care products, etc.

Batchan’s Designs By Ivory is a collection of handbags, wallets, fanny packs handcrafted in African fabrics.
“My signature fanny packs are both unique and stylish,” Batchan said. “They have become a staple in my business.”
Batchan began sewing when she was young and got her start designing and producing three years ago with the encouragement of family and friends.
“Next, I would like to explore expanding my brand internationally. Everyone should have a Designs By IvoryB creation,” she said.
