Carriage Hills Community Church Prayer Line Ministry hosted an Appreciation Service and Dinner for Bishop Andre W. Jackson on Saturday, June 29th at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Richmond. Bishop Jackson was celebrated for his faithfulness and prayer-filled life with the Word, music and song.
Jackson is known for starting the daily, national prayer line more than seven years ago and has not missed a day. The line includes prayer and reading the Word of God every morning at 6:30 a.m. (PST). If you need prayer, you are invited to call in at (605) 475-6700 code 9943309#.
Pastor Ulis Redic, Mount Zion Baptist Church, was the host pastor at the service and Pastor Charles Stewart, St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, delivered a great Word on prayer. Rev. Marvin Webb, the Killian Family, Larry “Moogstar” Clemon and Farl Band moved everyone in song and music.
Bishop Jackson was presented with Certificates of Recognition from Contra Costa County Supervisor John Gioia and Mayor Tom Butt City of Richmond. A special Congressional Recognition was presented from Congressman Mark DeSaulnier.
Special guests included Pastor Alvin C. Bernstine, District Attorney Diana Becton, Pastor Kevin Thompson, Pastor Omar Hernandez and attorney John L. Burris. Bishop Jackson sends a love praise to everyone who attended and everyone who had a mind to attend but just could not come.
