Dr. Joe L. Smith, president of Bay Cities Baptist Minister’s Union announced that their annual citywide revival will be held August 19 through 23 at the Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 5717 Foothill Blvd., Oakland.
The evening services will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Frank E. Ray, Sr., pastor of New Salem Baptist Church, in Memphis, Tennessee will be the evening revivalist. A Youth-A-Rama program will be presented at 6:30 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 17, at Grace Baptist Church at 705- 98th Ave. in Oakland where Rev. Charles L. Hopkins serves as pastor.
The day services are scheduled to be held daily at Star Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 5800 San Pablo Ave. in Oakland and hosted by Dr. Earl Ward.
Dr. Maurice Scott, Pastor of Greater St. John Baptist Church in Oakland, will be the day lecturer at the 10:00 a.m. program while Dr. Tellis Chapman, pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Detroit, MI, will serve as the day revivalist for the 12:00 p.m. services.
