It is hard to see the work that is necessary to put into our communities, individually, to help them flourish and maintain healthy and successful people inside of them. I think oftentimes we overlook the details because we each are so involved in our own individual lives; we fail to step back and look at the bigger picture.
United Way of San Joaquin County works insanely hard to give back to their community by hosting an annual campaign, analyzing the educational, health & income needs of their community, investing in local nonprofit agencies, building awareness of issues, creating partnerships and developing prevention-based programs for local issues.
According to their website, they estimate that they have given back nearly $100 million dollars to their community. Their primary focus is in education, health, and creating financially stable families because they believe that these three areas are the building blocks to creating stable, happy, and successful members of society.
Their annual event; Wine, Chocolate & Art, which is organized by their Manteca Community Council to help raise funds for non-profits in these communities and raise awareness of community’s needs, is being held on September 16th, 2021 at 5:30pm at the Great Wolf Lodge in San Francisco, Manteca, Calif.
