Thai authorities arrested a bar owner in connection with a lewd sex show mentioned in racy tweets by pop star Rihanna during her recent trip to Thailand, officials said Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, two weeks after an Instagram photo of her with a protected primate led to the arrest of other two men. (Entertainment Weekly) – Rihanna’s next album has come to us in bits and pieces: First, there was the raw, acoustic beauty “FourFiveSeconds” with Kanye West and Paul McCartney, then she bestowed upon us some drool-worthy snippets of a song called “Higher” on Instagram. Her new track “American Oxygen” is the March Madness theme.

Now, the Barbadian singer has opened up about the rest of the Kanye-produced album. “I’ve made a lot of songs that are just really, really big,” she says in a new MTV interview. But with this album, Rihanna says she wanted to focus on “things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever, that I could perform in 15 years.”

It turns out she’s doing this to protect her future self from the embarrassment she feels about her older songs now: “I find that when I get on stage now, I don’t want to perform a lot of my songs because they don’t feel like me. So I want to make songs that are timeless.” Don’t worry, Ri, we still listen to “Umbrella.”
