R.A.P. Contest for Youth in Oakland

A R.A.P Contest will take place on Sunday, July 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Commune, 1716 Broadway, next to the 19th BART Station in Oakland, CA. R.A.P stands for ‘Raising Awareness & Prevention’ of Domestic Violence Through RAP. The event will be sponsored by Sharika Gregory, from Oakland and Marin City, and who has raised awareness about relational issues and domestic violence.

A R.A.P Contest will take place on Sunday, July 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Commune, 1716 Broadway, next to the 19th BART Station in Oakland, CA.

R.A.P stands for ‘Raising Awareness & Prevention’ of Domestic Violence Through RAP. The event will be sponsored by Sharika Gregory, from Oakland and Marin City, and who has raised awareness about relational issues and domestic violence.

The rap entries in the contest will be from contestants, ages 15-22, competing for cash prizes of $500, $200, and $100.  A surprise artist will also perform at the event.
