Wednesday, February the 20th was the latest installment of the Duke vs. North Carolina rivalry, pitting two top 10 teams against one another in a high stakes conference matchup. With the basketball world tuned in, the prospective national player of the year Zion Williamson, had his “sole” snatched and suffered injury by way of the Nike PG 2.5 sneaker. As the season continues, Williamson continues to sit out to nurse a sprained left knee, making the Duke star’s historic season a little more wack for those of us watching college hoops as March approaches. Many might suggest that Zion ought to take Nike to court for taking him off the court. To this notion, Nike responded with an offer of an 80 Million dollar endorsement deal to “make good” on their misstep once Williamson goes pro. One could imagine Zion might be ready to forgive Nike and dismiss the evidence bag containing his kicks that lasted less than a full minute of the game.
