Clifford the Big Red Dog to Visit Ready to Learn Fun Fair

The ninth annual Ready to Learn Fun Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, 960 – 10th St. in Oakland.

The free Ready to Learn Fun Fair provides families with children birth to 5 years old with information about local community resources in the areas of education, nutrition, social services, exercise and the arts.

In addition to musical performances and a clown show, the popular television character Clifford the Big Red Dog will be in attendance to promote reading as a fun activity. Entrance to the fair is free and all children will receive a complimentary book and dental kit.

The event is sponsored by Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, KQED, First 5 Every Child Counts, and African-American Regional Education Alliance. Children of all ages are welcome.
