The City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce are partnering to host the annual State of the City address with Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter the evening of Monday, March 28.The community is invited to attend this free event, which will take place at the San Leandro Senior Community Center at 13909 East 14th St.
The event will begin with a social gathering at 6:30 p.m., with the mayor’s address to the community starting at 7 p.m.
“It is an exciting time to be in San Leandro,” said Mayor Cutter. “The investments we made over the past few years are coming to fruition with the help of our local residents, the business and labor community, social service providers and our partners at the state and federal level.“
Mayor Cutter will discuss her vision for the future and update the community on a variety of topics such as resiliency and climate change, economic development, and innovation. Other key topics and themes will include:
New investments in infrastructure and street repair made possible by Measures HH & BB;
Major development projects and long-term planning initiatives that are under way;
Enhanced investments in city services and other initiatives to improve San Leandro’s quality of life;
The city’s ongoing efforts to attract and retain new business investment; and
Efforts to address the City’s ongoing housing challenges and social service needs
