The Black Urban Growers National Group (www.blackurbangrowers.org), the organization of Black Farmers and Urban Gardeners committed to building networks and community support for growers in both urban and rural settings, is holding its Fifth Annual National Black Farmers and Urban Gardeners Conference in Oakland, California, October 16th through 18th at Laney College near Downtown Oakland.
The Conference will be taking place from October 16th through October 18th 2015, 7:30 AM to 6 PM each day at Laney College, 900 Fallon Street, Oakland, near Lake Merritt Bart Station www.laney.edu
Black Urban Growers (BUGS) is an organization of volunteers committed to building networks and community support for growers in both urban and rural settings. Through education and advocacy around food and farm issues, BUGS nurtures collective Black leadership to ensure they have a seat at the table. www.blackurbangrowers.org
