Professor Robert S. Oden of California State University Sacramento will discuss his latest book, “From Blacks to Brown and Beyond: the Struggle for Progressive Politics in Oakland, California, 1966-2011,” on Wednesday,
Feb. 27 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. A former Oakland resident and Black Panther Party member, Dr. Oden will examine the city’s political power shifts from the mayoralty of Lionel Wilson in the 1970s to the present.
