• West Side Church and Oakland PIC Host Job Workshop

    A job workshop designed to recruit unemployed and formerly incarcerated community residents and to disburse information about job opportunities and community resources will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 6 p.m. -7:30 p.m., at the West Side Missionary Baptist Church, 732 Willow St. in Oakland.
    The event is co-hosted by the church and the Oakland Private Industry Council (PIC). This will be the first of several workshops throughout the year.
