Sabo, an electrifying performer, vocal coach, and mentor, died May 9 at the age of 72 at his home in Oakland.
Sabo enjoyed a five-decade career on stage, television and film. In later years, he had his own performing arts school.
He leaves behind many students who looked up to him and learned not only performing arts skills but life skills. His memory will live on in the uplifting words he would often pass on to his students: “I’m brand new, ‘cause it’s a new day.
