Love Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 8401 Birch St. in Oakland is hosting Brittia Johnson’s 6th annual toy giveaway with  a celebration, “Euniece – the Legacy Continues,” from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 .
Johnson started the event in 2007 in memory of her daughter, Euniece “Nee-Cee” Law, who passed away that year at the age of 21 in a hit-and-run automobile accident.  The goal of the event is to support families that are less fortunate.
The celebration will include praise dancers, choirs and a raffle, as well as a toy giveaway, clothing distribution and food boxes for needy families.
The event is organized in collaboration with other outreach ministries and Bay Area churches to fulfill a need in the community, according to Johnson.
