Coronado Neighborhood Council, Inc. (www.coronadonci.com) is holding its 35th annual scholarship banquet on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Galileo Club, 371 South 23rd St., Richmond.  The banquet begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $35.
The council is roasting the pursuits and applauding the contributions of State Assemblymember Nancy Skinner and Michael Davenport, CEO, D.P. Security. The two were chosen because of their great humanitarian efforts, said Joe Fisher, president of the Coronado Neighborhood Council.
The roast will raise funds for the scholarship program operated by the neighborhood council, which has awarded over $300,000 to over 30 college students who live in Richmond, helping them to complete their college education with the help of major sponsors Chevron, Richmond Sanitary/Republic Service and Mechanics Bank.
Coronado Neighborhood Council, Inc. is a non-profit organization, and contributions are tax deductible.
