Quynh Truong was a student at San Francisco State University in 2005 when she found a listing for an internship at the East Bay Regional Park District.
Because she was majoring in business with an emphasis in human resources, she was able to jump right into an internship in the district’s HR department.
“This was my first internship, and it was an amazing experience,” Truong said. She even helped work on a document on workforce diversity for the organization.
Since then, she has become a human resources assistant.
“It is such a great place to work,” she said. “I’m just so lucky that my first opportunity into the ‘real’ force has been such a positive experience.”
